After relocating to Dallas, vocalist Kevin Michaels set out to create something missing from the live music scene: a true, high-energy tribute to the full spectrum of 1990s alternative radio. Inspired by stations like Atlanta’s 99X and LA’s KROQ, Not That Band was built from the ground up to celebrate everything from grunge and alternative to pop hits and one-hit wonders—faithfully, creatively, and without cliché. With a powerhouse lineup of seasoned musicians, period-correct costumes, custom 90s pop-culture intros, interactive crowd moments, and an enormous, unpredictable setlist (from Nirvana and Alice in Chains to Chumbawamba, Third Eye Blind, Barenaked Ladies, and beyond), the band delivers a full time-machine experience.
